Networking and Computing in Biomechanical Research: Challenges and Directions

Biomechanics is a scientific discipline that studies the forces acting on body and effects they produce. In this article, we bring together biomechanists networking researchers to shed light how research efforts in biomechanics, primarily related study of human body, can be facilitated through computing technologies, such as edge cloud computing, software defined networking, information-centric networking. We first present challenges face today, then describe technologies address them. Finally, identify directions for future with focus biomechanics facilitate encourage interdisciplinary collaborations between researchers.
